inZOI hit Steam Early Access on March 28, 2025. Seven days later, KRAFTON had a million copies sold. For a life simulation title entering early access against an established genre with a dominant player, that's not a lucky number. It's the result of a campaign that was sequenced correctly.
The build-up started ten days before launch. The inZOI Global Showcase on March 19 pulled over 450,000 simultaneous viewers worldwide. Players got their first real look at the character creation tools, the building systems, and the AI-assisted creative features that separate inZOI from what came before. Then, between March 20 and 28, a hands-on period opened up the Character Studio and Build Studio to global players before a single dollar changed hands. Showcase, then hands-on, then launch. By the time the store page went live, the audience wasn't buying into a promise. They'd already started making things.
Setimedia ran the campaign across Turkiye and the MENA region as KRAFTON's PR agency in the market. Influencer coordination, press briefings, localized assets, making sure every communications beat hit in the right sequence for local audiences. The region-specific Early Access pricing at $24.99 kept entry accessible, and the thirteen supported languages at launch, along with a visible in-game tracker for additional localization work, told you something about KRAFTON's longer-term thinking for this title.
Part of the work involved bringing inZOI Studio CEO Hyungjun 'Kjun' Kim's voice into the regional coverage in a way that felt direct. His framing of the development process as raising a child traveled. Several outlets picked it up and built around it. That kind of quote doesn't appear in coverage by coincidence. It comes from the right interview setup and enough trust on both sides to let a director speak without the filter.
Launch day, inZOI topped Steam's Global Wishlist and ranked fifth in Twitch's game category. The conversation it started hasn't stopped.
