Istanbul was packed with developers this past October, and Mobidictum had a lot to do with it.
The Mobidictum Conference returned October 21-22 Mobidictum, and if you were there, you noticed something different about the floor. The number of studios from Turkiye attending was the highest we've seen, and the vibe was less "regional showcase" and more "this is actually where the industry gathers." That shift doesn't happen overnight, and credit goes to Batuhan Avucan and his team for building something that keeps getting denser and more useful each year.
What stood out as much as the developer numbers was the investor presence. Mobidictum 2025 brought a strong lineup of venture capital firms and investors actively involved in the games industry Mobidictum, and these weren't people sitting in panels waiting to be quoted. They were on the floor, talking to studios, having actual conversations. That kind of access is rare at regional events and it's a meaningful draw for developers who are past the pitch-deck stage and ready to talk terms.
Setimedia was there across multiple fronts. TOGED, the Game Developers Association of Turkiye, had a booth at the conference, giving Turkish developers a central point to connect around industry representation and policy. BGDA, the Bulgarian Game Development Association, also made its international presence felt at Mobidictum BGDA, having just been founded days before the event. Setimedia supports both organizations, so seeing them both on the floor in Istanbul at the same time was a good moment.
Beyond the booths, it was a full schedule of meetings and catching up with people we don't always get to see in person. That's still the core of what makes events like this worth attending. The content is good, the panels are useful, but the real work happens in the hallways and over coffee.
Mobidictum is becoming the gathering point for developers in this region. It's not a prediction at this point, it's just a description of what's already happening.
