The TOBB Turkiye Kreatif Endüstriler Meclisi has its new cabinet, and the video game industry has a seat at the table where creative policy gets shaped.
Following the council's management elections, members voted A. Ata Kavame back in as Council Chair, with Gamze Şernaz joining as Deputy Chair. Beyond the leadership posts, this term introduced a formal cabinet structure, distributing committee responsibilities across the creative industries.
Setimedia Co-Founder Tugbek Olek takes on the chairmanship of the International Representation and Cooperation Committee. The role fits where Olek already operates: as TOGED Advisory Board Chair, he represents Turkiye at the European Game Developers Federation and carries the gaming industry's voice into TOBB's creative sector work. Formalizing that under a committee mandate makes the scope cleaner and the mandate more visible.
The full cabinet reflects a broad cross-section of Turkiye's creative sectors. Dr. Funda Lena heads the Education Integration Committee. Dr. Barış Şensoy, Secretary General of MSG, takes Intellectual Property and Copyright. The Young Creatives Committee lands with Elçin Sümer and Gökhan Doğan as co-chairs. Actress Burcu Biricik steps in as Global Image Film Project Director. Çağlar Gözüaçık of the Advertising Creatives Association leads the Media and Communications Committee. The Prestige Committee goes to Burak Satıbol and Muharrem Uğurlu.
The cabinet framing is new. Whether it produces results that match its ambitions is what the next term will show.
