Today Kristal Piksel Video Game Awards returned for its fourth edition, bringing together Türkiye’s game development community for a day of recognition, announcements, and connection. Organized entirely by setimedia in collaboration with Dijital Oyun Geliştiricileri Derneği, ODTÜ GATE, ODTÜ TEKNOKENT ATOM, and supported by IGDA, the ceremony once again spotlighted the creative talent driving our local industry forward. More than 50 games applied this year, with seven competing for the top honor of Game of the Year, alongside awards in categories such as Original Music, Visual and Audio Art, Innovation, and Narrative.

Hosted at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University’s Fındıklı Campus as part of the Eurasia Graphics 2015 program, the event opened with a speech from setimedia’s Tugbek Olek, setting the tone for an afternoon that balanced celebration with forward-looking announcements. PR Lead Ayda Tanguner guided the ceremony on stage, introducing winners and speakers with precision and energy. The highlight of the awards was the Game of the Year win for MoBu by Panteon, met with loud applause and warm congratulations from across the industry.

More Than an Awards Night

As the event’s organizer, setimedia handled every aspect of planning and execution, from program design and on-site production to press relations and post-event coverage. We worked closely with partners to ensure the day flowed seamlessly, pacing the awards alongside key announcements so that each moment had its own spotlight.

The ceremony was full of surprises that extended its significance beyond recognition alone. TOGED revealed it had received formal approval from the Council of Ministers to officially adopt the name Türkiye, an important milestone in representation for the association and the industry. Another major announcement confirmed that Türkiye will be the next partner country at Gamescom, opening a new chapter for international exposure and collaboration.

The room, filled with developers, academics, journalists, and industry leaders, reacted with enthusiasm and optimism. The blend of awards, institutional progress, and global opportunity created an atmosphere that felt both celebratory and ambitious.

Building on the Momentum

Kristal Piksel 2015 was not only a celebration of what our developers have achieved, but also a statement about where the industry is heading. With the recognition of games like MoBu and the strategic announcements made during the event, 2016 is set to be a year where Türkiye’s game industry steps further onto the global stage.

We thank our partners, jury members, and the community for making this year’s edition an unforgettable milestone.
