M&B II: Bannerlord Launches Early Access with Incredible Numbers

A few days ago, TaleWorlds pulled off something extraordinary. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord didn’t just arrive in Early Access, it stormed Steam as the biggest release of 2020, claimed the top spot in sales and concurrent players, and lit up Twitch as the number one streamed game. Being part of that journey was a thrill for us, and we are genuinely thankful to TaleWorlds for trusting us and including SetiMedia in the game’s credits.
A Campaign Meant to Travel the World
From the start, this was never about just getting the word out. We worked with TaleWorlds to craft a campaign that could carry across borders and time zones without losing its voice. Social media buzz, influencer partnerships, live streams, and a coordinated global PR push all had to click together. That meant a lot of early mornings, late nights, and constant calls with our PR partners Bastion, Mi5, Reset, KeySquare, and FD, making sure every region got the right story at the right time.
The Kind of Numbers You Remember
Launch week was not just busy, it was electric. At peak, more than 600,000 people were watching streams at the same time. Total video views crossed 20 million. News coverage reached an eye-widening 2.8 billion UMV, and social media saw over 50,000 direct engagements. And yes, number one on Twitch, number one on Steam concurrent users, number one in sales. These moments do not come often, and when they do, you know them instantly.
More Than Stats
What stood out most was not just the charts or numbers, it was the community. Players posting first impressions, streamers pulling in huge chats, fan art spreading across timelines. The excitement was not manufactured, it was real, and it fed the momentum every step of the way.
Onward
Thanks again to TaleWorlds and our partners for making this launch one for the books. The bar is set high, but the story is far from over.
