Last week, Turkiye hosted its first-ever Creative Economy Summit, organised by TOBB Creative Industries Council. The two-day program was packed with insightful panels and hundreds of B2G and B2B meetings, marking the first time the economic impact of creative industries was explored in such depth. As part of TOGED, we were proud to represent the digital games sector and bring our industry’s voice into the conversation.

A Panel on Creative Industries and Development

Our founder, Tugbek Olek, joined a panel moderated by Mirgün Cabas, alongside FCB Artgroup founder Özgür Saglam and Netflix’s Pelin Mavili. The discussion focused on how creative industries drive national development, highlighting the need for sustained support, cross-sector collaboration, and investment in talent. It was an engaging exchange that underscored a shared belief, without strong creative industries, economic growth will always be limited.

The session concluded with a moment of recognition as TOBB Board Member and Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry President, Ibrahim Burkay, presented plaques to participants. This gesture reflected the collaborative spirit of the summit and the value placed on the contributions of every industry represented, from design and film to games and beyond.

Being part of this summit allowed us to strengthen relationships with leaders across the creative sectors and communicate the role games play in Turkiye’s economic and cultural development. We thank TOBB Creative Industries Council, TOGED, our fellow panelists, and all who contributed to this milestone gathering. The momentum from last week is a reminder that when creative industries work together, their collective impact extends far beyond their individual markets.
