Sapphire Summer Games Kicks Off a Season of Play

Today we opened the doors to this year’s Sapphire Summer Games, a series designed to bring gamers together for long, laughter-filled weekends of competition, surprises, and connection. Running from June 28 to September 13 across three major cities, the event is backed by Sapphire Technology, the undisputed leader in ATI-based graphics cards, and brings a fresh energy to the summer gaming calendar in Turkiye.

Turning an Idea into a Summer-Long Experience

setimedia took on the full organisation of Sapphire Summer Games, from shaping the concept to managing every detail on the ground. Working with Sapphire Technology, we mapped out a plan that stretched across Istanbul’s Adeks Internet Cafe, Izmir’s Hisarnet, and Ankara’s Chatlak. Each location would host LAN parties every Saturday from June 28 to August 30, creating a consistent rhythm that kept players engaged week after week.

We balanced the schedule with smaller side activities and hardware-focused mini-events, giving participants plenty of ways to join in even if they were not in the main tournament. The focus was on accessibility and atmosphere, making sure both seasoned players and casual visitors could find their place in the crowd.

The Kickoff in Istanbul

The first event, held on June 28 at Adeks Internet Cafe, ran from late afternoon until midnight. The energy in the room was immediate — friends gathered in clusters, strangers became teammates, and the clack of keyboards blended with bursts of laughter. The new Sapphire Summer Games website launched that same day, giving everyone a way to follow matches, share updates, and connect beyond the cafe walls.

Building Toward the Finals

The season will close with a special tournament from September 6 to September 13, where the top three teams will take home the biggest prizes. Until then, each Saturday’s LAN party will keep building momentum, with hardware rewards, surprise giveaways, and plenty of bragging rights on offer.
